HR Specialist The HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department within a healthcare setting. This position ensures efficient processes in recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems, contributing to the overall success of the organization. They will collaborate with HR team members and other departments to deliver excellent service to employees while maintaining compliance with healthcare industry regulations and organizational policies. Salary: Up to $65K DOE Responsibilities: Coordinate HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and employee data management in HRIS; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Support payroll processing, including data entry for timekeeping, deductions, and 401k contributions; assist with biweekly payroll preparation using Paylocity or similar systems. Maintain accurate employee records and conduct system audits to ensure data integrity; troubleshoot and resolve HRIS and payroll-related issues. Assist in benefits administration, including verifying enrollments, processing deductions, and responding to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits. Support HR projects and initiatives, including recruitment events, employee surveys, and internal program management (e.g., employee referral program). Qualifications: Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2 years of experience in HR, including payroll, experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity or Workday) preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR compliance. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn and support HR software systems. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer service-oriented approach to problem-solving.
