Experience with mechanical or electrical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification Experience with building management systems (EPMS) Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code (unless they're a mechanical tech) High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Pluses: Previous datacenter experience Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) Job Responsibilities/Details for Electrical Tech Specifically (From Beeline): Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller ones Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of 1 source Critical Load is still supplied through one source (“N”) PDU shutdown for power meter replacement Power Interruption Testing (PIT) Master controller shutdown or replacement Job Description: A Fortune 100 client of Insight Global is looking for several Electrical Support Engineers to join their Critical Environment Team. This team is responsible for power, breaker, switch gear, fire protection, water, fan speed, building temperature automation systems, etc. in a datacenter. The right person for this job will have electrical experience, know how to trouble shoot breakers, experience interfacing with fire systems, know what refrigeration cycles are and how they work on the mechanical side/how it relates to the data center, and experience with HVAC troubleshooting. They must also be able and willing to work Night Shift (12 hr shifts Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & alternating Wednesdays which averages out to 42 hrs/week) in Southwest Atlanta.
