Key Responsibilities: Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of designers, illustrators, and other creatives to consistently produce high-quality and innovative visual content that aligns with client objectives and brand identities. Conceptualization: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to develop creative concepts and visual strategies that effectively communicate the essence of the brand or project while pushing the boundaries of creativity. Campaign Development: Oversee the end-to-end development of visual campaigns, from initial ideation and conception to final execution across multiple touchpoints, including print, digital, social media, and experiential. Brand Identity: Ensure that all creative outputs maintain brand consistency and integrity while exploring new and exciting ways to evolve and elevate brand identities within the music industry. Trend Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural movements within the music industry and beyond, integrating relevant insights into our creative work to keep our clients at the forefront of innovation. Client Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, actively listening to their needs, providing strategic guidance, and presenting creative solutions that exceed expectations and drive results. Team Development: Mentor and nurture the growth of junior team members, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and opportunities for skill development to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and creativity. Additional Responsibilities: Work with the entire team on a creative audit to elevate innovation and establish a unified brand understanding and company voice Conceptualize campaign vision, harnessing original graphics, copy, website content, social media, and other marketing materials Develop creative briefs based on ideas from brainstorming sessions, with direction, schedules, and deliverables for the creative team Delegate projects to in-house designers and oversee storyboards Obtain team approval of final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations; encourage members to provide feedback; and respond to internal commentary and requests Oversee presentation of final concepts and coordinate production and dissemination for cross-organizational use OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE Oversee the art department by hiring, training, assigning, scheduling, and mentoring staff Establish art department standards for production, productivity, quality, and client service Ensure the team adheres to current processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and proposes and creates processes and tools to support design operations Develop presentation approaches, styles, and techniques for the team Analyze market trends, consumer needs, and the competitor landscape, and track campaign performance Required skills and qualifications · Strong conceptual thinking and storytelling abilities, with a passion for pushing creative boundaries and exploring new ideas. · Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and strategies effectively to clients and internal teams. · Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and drive creative excellence. · Highly organized with excellent project management skills, able to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. · A deep passion for music and a keen understanding of the culture and creative landscape within the music industry. Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud Exceptional ability in typography, layout, and prototyping Highly skilled in leading a team of creatives Strong creative vision with attention to business objectives Preferred skills and qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline Experience in web development Solid knowledge of photography and video production
