Pay Rate: $78.57/hour on W2 Work Type: Hybrid – In-Office (Tue-Thu) Location: Houston, TX 77002 Work Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Duration: 6-month contract (with possible extension) Job Overview: This role supports diverse, high-impact projects within a large, complex corporate environment. The ideal candidate will design and develop Power Apps solutions that streamline business processes, enhance data accessibility, and deliver insightful analytics to support strategic decision-making. This role also includes a focus on governance, security, and integration across the Power Platform to maintain data integrity and compliance. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is motivated to create impactful, user-centered Power Platform solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: The developer will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, develop custom connectors, manage environments, monitor usage, and optimize applications to meet changing needs. The role demands technical depth in Power Apps, Power Automate, and data architecture, along with strong communication skills to effectively work with business partners and cross-functional teams. Technical Requirements: 4 years of experience in Power Platform development, including Power Apps and Power Automate. Proficiency in Power Apps development of Canvas apps, with experience building and optimizing apps that drive operational efficiency. Expertise with Model-Driven apps is a plus, but not required. Data architecture/design experience: expertise in creating and managing entities, fields, and relationships in Dataverse, SQL Server, and/or SharePoint. Knowledge of ALM (Application Lifecycle Management): Experience with ALM practices for the Power Platform, including source control, solution management, and deployment pipelines. Custom Connectors: Experience in developing and managing custom connectors to integrate with external systems. Power Automate: Strong skills in developing complex workflows, automating processes, and managing Power Automate flows. Governance and Security: Experience implementing security standards and best practices, including DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies and role-based access. Environment Management: Skilled in managing multiple Power Platform environments, ensuring smooth data flow and consistent access management. Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills for gathering requirements and providing training and support to end-users. Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Capable of troubleshooting complex issues and improving app performance and usability. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SQL and API integration. Knowledge of governance and compliance best practices within Power Platform. Experience with monitoring and optimizing Dataverse storage and usage capacity. Experience with DevOps: Familiarity with development practices and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira. Strong understanding of data architecture and best practices for data exchange. Experience with Power Platform CoE. Proficiency in UI and UX design principles.
