Senior Project Manager Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary Reports to: Vice President - Project Engineering Supervisory Responsibility: None Location: Jacksonville, FL Company Summary Our client provides state-of-the-art solutions customers build in for optimized energy performance now; and in the preparation for the energy needs of tomorrow. Our client specializes in a wide range of engineering and manufacturing solutions within the energy sector including turbine inlet air chilling, central utility plants, district cooling, combined heat & power systems, thermal energy storage, inlet air heating, data center chilling, and inlet air chilling for LNG facilities. Summary Objective Manages all aspects of large and/or complex projects from inception to conclusion. Essential Functions: Completes overall project execution. Manages complete project oversite. Conducts engineering kick-off meeting. Coordinates and manages project life cycle from contract award through delivery. Review contracts. Facilitates the review and input to scope compliance of work, contract, specifications, to include change control and negotiating those, and supplementary client documentation. Manages and monitors project schedules to ensure it meets contracted requirements. Collaborates and coordinates with the global matrix organization on the management of documentation and issues as they arise in all phases of execution. Ensures and/or develops documentation and other client deliverables are submitted in a timely manner. Manages the coordination of project tasking between internal resources, clients, vendors, sub-contractors, contractors, technicians, and other stakeholders throughout the execution process. Manages fabrication, installation, and start-up issues throughout execution. Calculates building costs to generate change orders and provides backup documentation. Generates project budgets and cost accounting vouchers (CAVs) and modify, as necessary, over the course of execution from the official estimate from Business Development. Creates and maintains a detailed cash flow and man-hours usage to ensure the project stays on budget and as planned. Manages the production of detailed and conceptual estimates for change orders. Creates reports and projections for various levels within the organization. Manages the completion of project closeout (i.e. punch list items, client final acceptance, etc.); and Manages warranty requests by generating and executing a corrective action plan. Manages overall project Leadership and decision-making (through proper channels). Manages QF-8.2.3.5 Contract Handover Checklist Manages all NPI gate-1 requirements are fully satisfied. Attend/participate in NPI gate reviews. Leads client interface, communications, and management. Manages Budget development and Timeline development oversite. Manages scope management: ECO, COR & rebase line. Attend/participate in NPI gate reviews. Manages and coordinates customer communication. Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits. Financial Acumen Conflict Resolution Work Environment This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at fabrication shops and job sites. Job safety needs to always be considered the top priority. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. The first shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Travel is primarily not required with the exception to local travel during the business day. Additionally, some projects may require out-of-state, out-of-country, and overnight travel up to 40%. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or management related discipline A minimum of 10 years of international experience in project and / or construction management Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise resource planning Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree in construction, engineering, or management related discipline 5 years’ experience in the power, oil & gas, data center and / or district energy industries Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the USA or a Canadian Citizen.
