The Senior Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize all aspects of the supply chain for our aerospace and defense projects. With a focus on Tier 1 EMS and defense supply chain applications , this role demands a strong leader capable of managing complex government contracts , ensuring FAR/DFAR compliance, and driving operational excellence. This position will involve managing both direct and indirect teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 8-10 direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team success and alignment with company objectives. Oversee the entire supply chain process, including warehousing, materials management, procurement, and logistics, ensuring all activities are aligned with customer requirements and project deadlines. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. Manage relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery and quality of materials. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FAR/DFAR, government contracts, and internal policies. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to align with production schedules and customer needs, mitigating risks related to supply shortages or delays. Provide expertise on defense applications and supply chain solutions, including logistics and material planning, to support mission-critical projects. Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accurate forecasting, planning, and reporting. Manage contract performance and coordinate with the contracts team to ensure compliance with government requirements and customer specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities into product development and production timelines. Lead crisis management efforts, troubleshooting and resolving any supply chain disruptions that may impact project deadlines or quality. Qualifications: Minimum of 7-10 years of supply chain management experience in the aerospace, defense, or related industries, with a focus on Tier 1 EMS and defense applications. Proven leadership experience managing both direct and indirect teams. In-depth knowledge of government contracting processes, FAR/DFAR regulations, and defense supply chain management. Secret Clearance (preferred, but not required). Strong experience in warehousing, materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a demonstrated ability to optimize supply chain operations. Experience with contract management, including cost, performance, and compliance with government contracts. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Proficient in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Lean Six-Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification preferred. APICS or other relevant supply chain certifications are a plus.
