General Overview : Electricians work as part of the maintenance team to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the mechanical and electronic equipment and components used. Must develop working knowledge of PROFRAC Clean Fleet Equipment. When in this position as an SSE, you will have to have a mentor. Must be able to rig in/out equipment within six months. Must provide their own basic tools and understand their proper use (list will be provided). Understand the use of hand and power tools to do electrical repair work. Must use proper grounding techniques, per PROFRAC SOP EP.04.005 Bonding and Grounding. Component identification and basic understanding of the operation such as, relays, circuit breakers, fuses, inverters, rectifiers, and PLC's. Must have a basic understanding of how to read and understand schematics. Must perform proper and safe cable routing. Will be required to complete all PROFRAC training, including Arc Flash and Basic Electrical Safety Training, as provided. Must be able to determine the appropriate level of PPE needed for a specific assigned task. Must properly use ladders and safety harnesses. Must be able to properly use various testers, such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscope, along with other hand tools to complete a job. Be able to exercise the proper use of wiring techniques for 12-volt DC, 24-volt DC, 120-volt DC, 120-volt AC, 240-volt AC, 480-volt AC, 600-volt AC and 13.8 kV AC, single and three-phase. Help Turbine Techs on rig in/out of the Turbines. Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled, and document finished work. Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, PLC's and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and safety circuits. Assists in routine planned maintenance and emergency repairs of plant equipment including conveyors, bucket elevators, and washing/drying equipment. Thorough understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Design, plan, install and maintain industrial control equipment and instrumentation such as loop controller, variable frequency drives, solid state reduced voltage starters, level controls, ethernet motor controls centers, belt scales, and control panels. Installation, modification and repair of automated industrial control equipment. Calculate proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, motor controls, switches, panels, and fuses. Ability to conduct a Root Cause Analysis and compile a report based on the findings. Strong understanding of software utilized within programmable logic control (PLC) systems. GE Drive Coach, Woodward, Danfoss, LS H Series, Toshiba. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED. First Aid/CPR Training and Safe Land/PEC Certified preferred. 1-3 years in Hydraulic fracturing or oilfield operating company. Basic knowledge of frac equipment with 1-2 years' experience in Electrical field with knowledge of A/C power and A/C motors. Must possess a Journeyman Electrician License issued by the state of the district advertising the opening. In the absence of a license, must have minimum number of hours required by the State in either electrical work or classroom instruction to obtain the license. Able to read, speak, and comprehend effectively and write sufficiently to be understood by employees, peers, and customers in English. Must have and maintain a driving record acceptable to the Company and PROFRAC auto insurance company. Work in varied environments and geographical areas and sometimes, in what may be considered harsh environments. Exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, precipitation, in addition to working at heights and chemicals may be experienced when working in the field or shop locations. Able to work under stressful conditions at times. Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time. Employee is required to accomplish hard physical labor in many different conditions including lifting equipment. Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting. Heavy lifting is exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations and bright lights. Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc. Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed. Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. Working of irregular hours may be required. Lifting: Up to 80lbs, additional weight, 80-100lbs, may be required with a second individual assisting. Reaching: Ability to reach with hands and arms frequently to operate office equipment. Ability to wear FR (Flame Resistant) uniforms including pants, shirts, and/or coveralls if required to be in an area requiring FR clothing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal office and outdoors environment including computer work.
