Become part of our team and contribute to our ongoing success story We are seeking a Drywaller/Painter in our Northwestern Region. As a Drywaller/Painter, under the direction of the Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for performing paint and drywall for water, fire, wind, and mold repair projects. What You Will Do: The Drywaller/Painter performs the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs. Ability to paint surfaces including walls, floors, doors, and cabinets Mix, match and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes Scrape, sandpaper, prime and/or seal surfaces prior to painting Clean walls to ensure proper adherence Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection Calculate amounts of required materials Fill holes, cracks and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking gun or putty knives Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting Tape off areas when needed Knowledgeable on masking and working in occupied homes Apply drywall to walls or ceilings Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints Measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels Read blueprints and designs Drive to jobs daily Work overtime as needed Practice safe and efficient work techniques to minimize potential injuries and hazardous conditions Participate in safety meetings and inspections Ensure that material areas are kept neat and orderly Always maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping with regard to equipment and assigned work area and/or department What You Will Bring: 2-5 years of verifiable experience Knowledge of industry tools and how to use and maintain them Good communication skills, written and verbal Strong customer service skills Ability to work both independently and as a team All applicants must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States All applicants must have good DMV and be able to pass insurance company's criminal background check What We Offer: Competitive Salary Medical, Dental, Vision and Flexible Spending Account. 401(k) with Company Match (eligibility required) Short-term & Long-term Disability Critical Illness/Accident/Hospital Indemnity Plans Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off Upward Mobility and Development Opportunities Compensation is based on geographic location, demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. Kustom is an equal opportunity employer.
