Title: Sr. Python Developer Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid) Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST Note: This role is NOT open to C2C or 3rd party candidates The Sr. Python Developer is responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions using Python to enable Customer Experience applications. They are responsible for documentation of the system, conducting unit tests and peer code reviews, maintaining internally developed applications, and conducting evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. They are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application. Position Qualifications: 5 years of professional software development experience, with strong design and coding skills in Python Excellent understanding of RESTful Architecture style; demonstrated experience developing REST APIs and processing batch files using Python Strong UNIX or Linux Shell Scripting skills Working knowledge of PySpark, as well as Hadoop environments Advanced SQL scripting/querying skills; experience with database technologies, such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, dBase, and/or MS Access Experience working with/analyzing/managing very large data sets (1 million records) Proficiency using standard desktop applications, such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio Demonstrated experience developing scheduling of batch processes Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, and documentation protocol, as well as change management procedures In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle Ability to take a methodical approach to evaluate various libraries with pros and cons to meet business and technical requirements A technical curiosity and willingness to learn (ask questions, learns processes, etc.) High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills Flexible team player ability Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance Demonstrated initiative and effective independent decision-making skills Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies preferred Healthcare or Financial industry experience preferred A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field, or equivalent work experience required Note: This role is NOT open to C2C or 3rd party candidates If you're interested in this job opportunity, view the full job description and apply below
