Job Summary/General Purpose of the Job The Senior IT Business Analyst is a servant leader for the software development teams and a trusted advisor to a wide range of business stakeholders. Following the guidance of the Director of IT Business Analysis & Operations, the Senior IT Business Analyst serves as a liaison between IT and Association staff departments (e.g., Membership and Marketing, Digital Content). This role is responsible for assessing business needs and delivering technology solutions that improve business processes, products, and services for the Association's members and entities. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business requirements for technical solutions. Convey business needs to technical teams and ensure delivery of solutions that will satisfy those needs. Perform and facilitate quality assurance and user acceptance testing of delivered technical solutions. Troubleshoot issues across a range of technical platforms and tools and facilitate the development of solutions and/or improvements. Maintain an understanding of the business' strategy and mission, and leverage knowledge of the external marketplace and evolving technologies to recommend innovative solutions to business needs, presenting ideas to IT management before presenting to the business. Communicate with external technology vendors regarding project scope and business requirements. Recommend standards and procedures for business analysis and create related documentation. Perform other related duties as required. Required Education, Qualifications, Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in a related field, or equivalent experience; minimum of 8 years' experience in comparable role. Minimum of 7 years' experience directly related to business analysis and information technology. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in agile software development Minimum of 2 years working with Association Management Systems, Content Management Systems, and/or Customer Relationship Management Systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate technical content to a general audience. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both business and IT stakeholders. Experience in business process analysis and process flow creation. Experience in developing project plans. Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience ScrumMaster (CSM) certification Proficiency with Atlassian suite of products, particularly Jira and Confluence Familiarity with RFI/RFP processes, including experience authoring and serving as primary point of contact for a software RFP Test case creation Project management experience Other advantageous technical skills or areas of experience: SQL; Javascript; data warehouse and reporting systems Physical Requirements Typical office work environment. Extent of Travel Required in the Job As a normal course of business, this job will typically require travel of less than 15% of the time.
