We aim to enable customers to make informed decisions using our innovative solutions. This internship will support the Auto Underwriting Analytics team in applying Data Science methods for analyzing data pertaining to our Underwriting suite of products. About the Role The Data Science Internship Program provides exposure to the Scoring and Modeling organization of LexisNexis' Insurance Division. Successful candidates will learn particular aspects of our business while working on data-science-related assignments and projects. Seeking talent from Mathematical, Statistical, and Computer backgrounds to develop Generative AI models using big data. The program runs from May 19, 2025, to July 25, 2025, and is open to master's students. This internship is based in Alpharetta, GA, with no relocation assistance provided. Responsibilities Conducting analysis and creating performance reports in support of existing and new product development, and/or customer sales. Developing analytic models specifically Generative AI model, writing analysis code, and working with internal or external stakeholders to validate the accuracy of results. Following established best practices in statistical work and analyzing plans by executing appropriate statistical and modeling techniques. Assembling, merging, and parsing large amounts of data to detect meaningful patterns and trends. Providing support for client inquiries regarding score calculations or other analytical outputs. Participating in targeted training designed to enhance technical skills and develop core competencies. Documenting and communicating analytical work and results clearly. Requirements Be a currently enrolled student working on a Master's in a Scientific, Mathematical, or Computer field. Qualified applicants m ust be graduating between December 2025 and May 2026. Possess foundational knowledge of natural language processing, machine learning, and information retrieval. Display familiarity with data manipulation languages and showcase a basic grasp of data modeling principles. Be a natural problem solver, able to collaborate with your team to resolve issues. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
