Benefits & Compensation Manager Direct Hire, Hybrid Vancouver, WA Healthcare What you should know : Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and start-up healthcare organization headquartered in Vancouver, WA as a Benefits & Compensation Manager. This is a new and exciting role that you will have a hand in designing the impact it will make on this growing company. In this role, you will ensure employees receive fair and competitive total compensation, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, given the financial resources available to the organization. Oversee the management and administration of direct and incentive compensation and health, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans. This role ensures the effective design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of these programs and approves wage and salary actions in consultation with managers. Reporting to and working alongside the CPO will offer you both an opportunity to grow and learn from a strong mentor. They offer a mostly remote schedule working in the office one or two days per week. A day in the life: Consult with operations and recruitment personnel to ensure alignment of compensation and benefits programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates. Participate in selected compensation and benefits surveys on behalf of the organization. Research market trends to evaluate the competitiveness of total compensation. Conduct periodic internal surveys to assess employee satisfaction with pay and benefits. Manage employee benefit programs, including Health, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) plans, ensuring compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements. Lead annual open enrollment process. Participate in the selection and periodic assessment of benefits brokers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators. In partnership with the CPO, recommend benefit program design changes that support the attraction and retention of talent. Manage medical leaves of absence/paid leave programs. Manage the organization’s direct and incentive compensation programs in ways that yield the highest value for the organization and ensure compliance with state and federal law, including pay equity. Create salary administration programs that establish pay grades and criteria for salary increases and promotion. Manage the annual merit and cost-of-living programs, as appropriate. Price jobs consistent with the organization’s goals for market positioning. Work with hiring managers to draft job descriptions, conduct job analyses, and determine job classifications consistent with the FLSA and state laws. Your areas of knowledge and expertise: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Finance, Business, or another related field 3-5 years of experience in benefits management 1-3 years of experience in compensation management Advanced MS Office, especially Excel experience required Multi-state compensation and benefits experience preferred. Experience with HRIS, compensation, and payroll systems Ability to work in a problem solving, empathetic, and confidential manner Compensation and Benefits : $100K in annual compensation also offering robust benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA, disability, 401k vacation and sick time.
