Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Cardiology in Illinois

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Non-Invasive Cardiologist Job Duration: 3 months, ongoing Shift: 7 on 7 off; Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM-5 PM, Friday 7:30 AM-3 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active IL license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Board Certification in Internal Medicine Must-Have: COVID vaccination and booster required Job Description: - Provide inpatient cardiac care in a hospital setting, working collaboratively within a group of 8 cardiologists. - Conduct patient rounds and manage a typical patient load of 17 per day, including 10 consults, 2 ICU patients, and 3 procedures. - Perform diagnostic and treatment procedures such as treadmill stress tests, ECHOs, EKGs; proficiency in TEE and nuclear cardiology is a plus. - Participate in a 1:6 call rotation from Friday-Monday, 5 PM-7 AM. - Utilize EPIC as the electronic medical record system for documenting patient care. - Commitment to 100% inpatient care, primarily focused on adult patient population. - Engage in a dynamic and supportive environment that emphasizes patient-centered care and professional development.
