Key Responsibilities Accurately estimate the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment for plumbing and piping systems in commercial mechanical construction projects. Analyze bid documents, specifications, and drawings to determine the complete scope of work and ensure all necessary components are included in the estimate. Attend and participate in pre-bid meetings to gather critical information, clarify project scope, and address potential challenges. Prepare discipline estimates by conducting a complete takeoff of the scope of work, ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly covered. Evaluate design options and recommend the best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, and material availability to optimize project outcomes. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing estimating within the commercial mechanical construction industry. Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant estimating software. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, piping, and plumbing. Ability to analyze and interpret complex bid documents, specifications, and drawings, with a solid attention to detail. Demonstrated history of consistent and stable work experience within the local Honolulu area is required.
