We are currently partnered with a reputable personal injury law firm based in El Segundo who are looking for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate should have experience working with civil litigation attorneys with diligent attention to detail, manage a heavy volume of cases and clients. We are looking for candidates with 3 plus years of experience who have extensive trial experience. This role is onsite and paying $85,000 to $100,000 depending on experience. Responsibilities: State/Federal e-filing. Calendar hearings and deadlines, calculating those deadlines based on documents received. Drafting court filings and preparing court forms. Drafting deposition notices and scheduling court reporters. Transcribing dictations. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone. Highly organized and detailed. Trial preparation including but not limited to, scheduling vendors, drafting trial documents (i.e. jury instructions, witness lists, statement of the case), drafting and serving subpoenas, reading trial transcripts, scheduling witnesses and expert witnesses…etc. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
