This position is located in the Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate, Fraud Detection and National Security Division, FDNS EB-5 IPO National Security Division.
As an
Intelligence Research Specialist , you will represent the organization on committees and working groups; participate in developing and drafting policies, procedures, and guidelines; and analyze and evaluate large volumes of intelligence materials.
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on
12/02/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on
12/02/2024.
GS-07:
You qualify at the GS-07 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Selecting, abstracting, and excerpting data from specific sources and compiling them for the use of higher graded specialists. Evaluating and making preliminary analyses of raw intelligence data.
OR You may substitute successful completion of one year of fulltime graduate education for the experience required at the GS-07 level. You may also substitute superior academic achievement for the experience required at the GS-07 level. GS-09:
You qualify at the GS-09 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Providing assistance to senior specialists in the collection of intelligence information to identify trends, patterns, profiles, estimates, and studies. Engaging in the review of data, research, and analysis to develop and produce intelligence products. Assisting in the implementation of intelligence collection plans. Processing and evaluating volumes of intelligence information from a variety of sources. GS-11:
You qualify at the GS-11 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Processing and evaluating intelligence information and identifying and recommending solutions to a wide range of analytical problems. Analyzing intelligence data from a variety of sources to develop trends, patterns, profiles, estimates, and studies. Preparing preliminary and finished intelligence products. Ensuring that intelligence data is properly classified, stored, and handled in accordance with pertinent directives.
