Our client, a growing consulting firm specializing in services for healthcare, technology, and other sectors, is seeking a Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to their ongoing expansion and their efforts to strengthen their industry presence.

The Accountant will play a vital role in managing accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable/receivable processes, and maintaining a strong general ledger. This role requires hands-on experience with Workday Financials and a solid foundation in accounting principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable/Receivable:




• Manage accounts payable processes (60%) and accounts receivable as needed.


• Process vendor invoices, consultant bill rates, subscriptions, and IT costs (low volume).


• Perform weekly settlement runs, including invoice and voucher payments.


• Handle cash transactions, ensuring timely data entry and routing for approval.




• General Accounting & Reporting:




• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.


• Track daily cash transactions and assist in maintaining the balance sheet.


• Generate financial reports using Workday Financials, with a focus on project profitability.




• Collaboration & Communication:




• Coordinate with team members across multiple locations to ensure smooth operations.


• Professionally manage email communications, ensuring accurate data entry into Workday.


• Provide training and collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.


• Senior-level accounting experience with a strong foundation in accounting principles (GAAP).


• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).


• Workday Financials experience


• Excellent communication skills, including timely responsiveness in a virtual environment.


• Collaborative and kind, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with financial reporting and data manipulation in Workday.


• Familiarity with project accounting processes, including tracking project-based profitability.
