MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a leading consumer goods business in the search for an Amazon Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in the New York area.


As an Amazon Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading the company's brands on Amazon 3P Seller Central, managing seller relationships, overseeing promotional and marketing automation programs, and acting as the eCommerce expert across the organization. The ideal candidate is an Amazon marketplace expert who has successfully built and managed profitable brands using the Amazon Seller platform. This position requires a leader who is comfortable liaising with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders at all levels of the business. The ideal candidate will be highly accountable and focused on results.


Key Responsibilities


  • Drive top and bottom-line growth on Amazon Seller Central and other eCommerce platforms. Build and execute product and marketing strategies that deliver revenue and profit objectives.
  • Manage and optimize relationships with Amazon Seller Central, ensuring proper catalog management, negotiations, and contracts, and overseeing the delivery and compliance of products listed on the platform.
  • Build and shape a highly effective team by hiring, training, and developing a team of experts who are always ‘one step ahead’ of the marketplace.
  • Execute new product listings, optimize product content, conduct keyword research, and manage reviews and rankings to ensure successful launches on Amazon Seller Central.
  • Review and enhance all seller-related marketing processes, advertising campaigns, and promotional strategies to maximize visibility and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with external marketing agencies to drive campaign success, optimize advertising spend, and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
  • Lead monthly business reviews, forecasting/reforecasting, and annual planning/budgeting. Manage financial performance, communicate results, and proactively build plans to close any gaps.
  • Deliver on U.S. KPIs, leveraging resources and strategies tailored to the Amazon Seller marketplace in the U.S.


What are we looking for?


  • Data-driven individual with experience in customer acquisition and retention through Amazon Seller Central.
  • Amazon Seller platform expert with a proven track record of driving growth over multiple years and collaborating with internal Amazon seller teams.
  • Strong analytical skills (metric-driven) with the ability to consume and understand data to achieve clear results and optimizations. Provides regular updates on metrics.
  • Results-oriented self-starter who takes initiative without being asked, with a proven track record of delivering excellent results in a fast-growth environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills – proactive in solving problems and bringing recommendations rather than just reporting on issues or challenges.
  • Innovative & inquisitive – Provide strategic insights to the broader team by demonstrating a willingness to learn, improve, and execute new initiatives. Always seeking new technologies, strategies, or tactics to increase efficiency and performance.

Required Experience


  • 5+ years of Amazon Seller Central experience
  • 3+ years of leadership and/or strategy experience
  • High-growth eCommerce business experience
  • Experience managing marketing promotions/automation for Amazon Seller Central.
  • Experience in consumer products, including supplements (human or pet), is preferred but not essential.
