Senior Associate Director-Athletic Compliance

Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and at least five years of experience or a combination of education and experience to total 9 years
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or law degree
Three years of experience in Division I athletic compliance
Experience with NCAA and Teamworks (including ARMS or Compliance + Recruiting) applications
Experience with college or professional football
This position reports to the Executive Director of Athletic Compliance. The Athletic Compliance Office is a department of the Office of the General Counsel and consists of an Executive Director, 3 Senior Associate Directors, one Associate Director and 2 Assistant Directors.
JOB DUTIES:
Advising and assisting in the work required to comply with all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Big Ten Conference, Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) and University of Minnesota rules and regulations.
Represent the compliance office in the absence of the Executive Director.
Oversee all compliance office matters for Football and other sports designated by the Executive Director.
Assist in providing written rules interpretations to all athletic staff.
Assist in preparing and presenting educational material for support staff, coaches, athletic department staff, and other University staff.
Assisting with compliance office and athletic department projects and tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
Provide support to other members of the compliance staff.
Analyze complex problems and provide solutions.
Supervise the internship program (depending on experience of the applicant and needs within the office).
Assist in implementing elements of the House settlement as assigned by the Executive Director.
WORK MODE:
Hybrid, minimum of three days in person on campus or as schedule dictates.
PAY RANGE:
$70,000-$83,000
