Purpose and Objectives
The Director of North America Partner Field Marketing will develop and execute strategies to drive Year-over-Year (YoY) cloud growth through SAP partners. The role focuses on increasing partner-led demand generation, working across the SAP North America marketing teams to enhance understanding of the partner landscape and strategy to drive greater alignment in support of partner marketing strategy. This position reports to the NA Regional Partner Field Marketing Lead in Newtown Square, PA.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Demand Generation & Revenue Management
Marketing Plans: Collaborate with SAP partners to deliver against marketing demand generation and revenue objectives within a specific sales territory.
Marketing Activities: Work with partners to plan and support partner-led marketing activities, including account-based marketing (ABM), data-driven marketing, digital marketing, and events.
Lead Analysis & Pipeline Health: Review and analyze lead reports with partners to assess the impact of marketing programs on pipeline health.
ROI Optimization: Ensure optimal ROI for partner-driven investments and activities.
Strategic Marketing and Executive Expertise
Strategy Development: Work with partners to develop marketing strategies and program plans with a digital-first approach.
Execution: Support partners in executing media plans, community events, direct mail, email, telemarketing, and nurturing activities.
Brand Compliance: Ensure partners adhere to brand experience, quality, consistency, and compliance.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate NA partner field marketing strategy and plans, including key partner plans, to Partner Ecosystem Success, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders. Influence internal stakeholders for optimal impact.
Customer Focus: Surface partner customer reference opportunities to the customer references team to develop and activate in the market.
Standardize Partner Engagement: Increase internal understanding of partner landscape, goals, and marketing strategies and integrate partners across SAP marketing plans.
Event Marketing
Event Selection & Support: Assist partners in selecting the right events to invest in and provide guidance on best practices to maximize ROI.
Co-Marketing Events: Execute co-marketing initiatives at events with strategic partners.
Community-Oriented Events: Host and facilitate community-oriented partner events to foster engagement and best practice sharing.
Data & Performance Management
Systems Proficiency: Leverage various reports and dashboards to analyze performance, and work with partners around performance and optimization plans.
Performance Analysis: Adept in analyzing performance data to improve campaign execution and lead management.
Market Research/Analysis: Leverage market intelligence and collaborate with internal teams to optimize partner campaign planning and data segmentation.
General Contributions
Team Expertise Sharing: Share skills and expertise with partner marketing teams to improve efficiency.
Market Trends: Monitor and share regional market trends, best practices, and insights.
Specific Partner Marketing Responsibilities:
Develop Marketing Plans & 1:1 Engagement: Foster strong relationships and create tailored marketing plans with priority partners, integrating them into SAP-led initiatives to drive measurable impact and prove ROI against development funds.
Drive Campaign, Resource Awareness & Best Practice Sharing: Ensure partners are well-informed about ongoing campaigns, content, tools, and available resources. Facilitate community engagement, marketing enablement, and best practice sharing among partners.
Optimize Development Funds: Strategically allocate partner development funds to drive maximum ROI and continuously evaluate performance.
Data & Insights: Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights for strategic decisions.
Stakeholder Management: Engage closely with key stakeholders to leverage data-driven insights for performance improvement.
Flagship Events: Coordinate partner inclusion in SAP flagship events to maximize business impact.
Co-Marketing Initiatives: Execute co-marketing initiatives with strategic partners and support the incorporation of partners in SAP-led marketing plans.
Feedback to Global Partner Marketing (GPM): Provide input on partner campaign needs and performance improvements, as well as suggestions for new vendors/agencies for the Partner Benefits Catalogue.
Monitor Partner Engagement: Regularly assess and refine marketing strategies based on partner feedback to ensure alignment with partner objectives.
Primary Interactions:
Global Partner Marketing: Plan, evaluate, and optimize partner marketing tactics, providing regional feedback.
Regional Marketing Teams: Ensure integration of partner strategies across SAP marketing plans.
Regional Partner Organization: Align partner marketing strategies with business needs and growth priorities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in B2B marketing, with partner marketing experience preferred. Proficiency in data analysis, campaign performance metrics, events, and digital marketing strategies.
Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Expertise in marketing strategy development, demand generation, and community engagement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Additional Requirements: Experience in the IT industry, B2B marketing, multi-national companies, sales collaboration, and project leadership.
