Live events are back, and we are busier than ever! Due to massive growth, we are looking to add a Sr. Event Manager who will have a focus on housing to Nth Degree’s corporate events team. Serving as an essential member of our housing team, this position will aide in the sourcing and contracting of hotel room blocks for internal and external clients.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Client Services. Position can be done remotely with the ability to travel.
Salary is $80-90K.
What You’ll Do:
Own specific deliverables/components for a client event or internal housing request and drive them to fruition, utilizing best practices, appropriate resources, and vendor partnerships, while managing tasks according to project timelines.
Serve as a valued resource for assigned clients and internal partners by providing guidance for assigned projects.
Manage assignment-related portions of overall timelines; meet deadlines.
Assist with analyzing prior year inventory and patterns and advise clients on current and future year room blocks; make recommendations based on reports, trends, and risk.
Manage negotiations and terms of hotel contracts; communicate contract requirements to appropriate partners.
Oversee the management of blocks and subblocks, requests for rooms outside of contracted blocks, and guest extension nights, as applicable.
For client events, ensure booking systems and related websites function properly.
Assist with analyzing and manipulating inventory to maximize clients’ room blocks and mitigate attrition; confer with hotels on inventory requests and/or addendums.
Direct the administration of financial management and invoice reconciliation processes.
Collaborate with project teams to meet client expectations and address challenges.
Maintain knowledge of housing platform, computer programs, best practices, and proficiency with all internal systems and tools.
Provide on-site housing support as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
3+ years’ progressively responsible experience in event housing management.
Understanding of program/event management, hotel contract negotiations, and hotel room blocks/concessions.
Microsoft Office, Cvent, and Passkey experience and/or ability to learn new technology quickly; ability to analyze data and create custom reports.
Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to charismatically manage critical and cross-functional relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superior organization and project management skills.
Expert time management skills with ability to quickly and gracefully adapt to a rapidly-changing environment and to manage competing priorities.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
