Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. At least three years' in production environment and related quality experience. Valid driver's license required and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals, ISO 9001, project management, process audits. Customer support experience helpful. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good organizational skills. Problem-solving / troubleshooting skills. Good math skills. Mechanical knowledge to include the interpretation of drawings related to the confirmation of parts they are associated with. Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and in-house inspections using industry standard tools, equipment and techniques. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department. Working Conditions: Typical office environment. 10% travel required. Some work done in a laboratory and on manufacturing floor. Use of standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, fax machine/copier. Use of test and measurement equipment. Responsibilities Summary:

Acts as a liaison between the Company and its supplier base on product and part procurement engineering and design issues to ensure that suppliers deliver quality parts and materials. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates, leads, and implements supplier development systems used for new supplier evaluation, auditing, assessment, recognition, and continuous improvement roadmaps including managing the supplier corrective action process. Maintains approved supplier list and quality-based assessment tools for new materials and suppliers by working across departments. Establishes incoming inspection plans and validation plans for change management. Develops key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor, and report quality metrics related to the risk, stability, and performance of individual suppliers. Ensure sound statistical practices are utilized for confident and effective monitoring, measuring and actions to control and validate supplier performance/conformance to specifications and contractual obligations. Conducts and supports supplier, internal and customer audits. Exceeds stakeholder expectations across departments and support risk management. Specific areas include the conformance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with particular focus on supplier risk profile, internal material review boards, root cause analysis, corrective/preventative actions, and management of change. Ensures QMS compliance and sustainability roadmaps exist and are demonstrated within the supply chain. Leads and implements process improvements and recognition program for the supply chain. Provides statistical information for quality development roadmaps. Maintains nonconforming material through electronic and physical movement. Lead meetings with material owners (MRB) to disposition product. Tracks supplier corrective action entries and drive timely closure while verifying effectiveness. Performs parts and product troubleshooting in support of sustaining/design engineering, purchasing, and production on supplied products. Creates instructions for receiving inspectors to inspect product. Trains receiving inspectors on use of inspection equipment and inspection techniques. Collaborates with engineering on acceptability of product to drive improvement in internal specifications. Collaborates with suppliers on acceptability of product/processes to drive improvement in supplier processes. Assists with process/procedure development. Other duties may be assigned.
