Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be well versed in supporting work contracted federally and will come with experience working in a hospital environment. Hawk Contracting Group values a “One Team” mentality in everything we do and is looking for an ideal candidate that shares this value.
In this role, you will ensure that the company Quality Control standards are effectively implemented. The Quality Control Manager role is to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of an assigned project. Maintain project Quality Control as defined by USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors as required for our federal work as well as project plans and specifications, review work for compliance; perform, schedule, and witness inspections/testing as outlined by QCM requirements. You assume overall responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity of subcontractors, and oversee and maintain document control-submittals, RFI’s change orders, as-builts, correspondence, etc. You will oversee and implement subcontracts, help build and implement project schedules, procure, and track materials. Develop and maintain project billings, monitor project cost control, monthly cost review and monitor all construction activities and documents results. You will prepare agendas and lead QC and project meetings. Develop punch list and final inspection and acceptance. You will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, contracts, and suppliers.
Qualifications
Graduate of a four-year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QC Manager
Minimum of 10 combined years of experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contracts.
Minimum project size $3m single project experience. Office Renovation with HVAC, DDC, Fire Protection/Fire Alarm, and Electrical preferred.
Needs to be familiar with EM385 1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
Possess current certification of Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor’s course
Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite-general knowledge of P6, Blu-beam, CADD, etc.
Exceptional project management and organizing skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to supervise and support others effectively
Ability to gain federal base access
OSHA 30-hour certificate required for this position (OSHA 30-hour training will be provided if candidate does not possess)
Valid Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required at time of hire
