Director, Pricing Location:
Richmond, VA What we are looking for: The Director, Pricing is a key position within the Anthony and Case divisions that support strategies for growth, revenue & profitability increases and other specific goals. The Director, Pricing reporting directly to the Managing Director and dotted line to the Finance Director for Case and Anthony, works closely with the Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sales and Inside Sales Teams, to establish pricing for all products, as well as plan and identify opportunities to improve growth and profitability. The Director, Pricing will help in the identification and execution of strategic enhancements that will drive both increased business and enhanced profitability across the product portfolio of both business divisions. As a partner to functional leaders and their teams throughout the organization, the Director, Pricing will leverage deep business and process knowledge to enable success. What you will be responsible for in this role: Support Customer Bid Process, including developing and maintaining list price / discount structure for Product and Aftermarket Sales Member of Case and Anthony Extended Leadership Team Lead analysis of drivers of customer specific price achievement Drive continuous improvement to the quoting process to leverage historical win/loss, product, and competitor data Challenge cost information used in quoting and work in partnership with the finance team to improve processes & reporting Create & maintain quoting tools using cost and price information, lead customer pricing models Continually upgrade and refine tools for better pricing analysis & decision support Review, update and where non-existent, create pricing catalogue for products, options, accessories, parts, and warranties for all products Collaborate closely with DFR Strategic Pricing function Ensure compliance to the Pricing Delegation of Authority (DOA) Gather important insights into Product portfolio performance, health, and other factors to provide a distinct summary for division leaders to influence core decisions.
Perform and support margin analysis to understand the changes in margin period over period or versus quote and actuals, enabling opportunities to drive improvement and reduce waste. Support job cost tools to optimize job cost reconciliations enabling increased visibility to job profitability and monthly accounting requirements Support various tools in Power BI that are used throughout the business
Leveraging deep business and process knowledge, support ad-hoc analysis as required to enable the business What are the basic qualifications? Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, or related relevant discipline and 15+ years of relevant experience Process Oriented mind-set as demonstrated by prior experience with operational transformation, continuous improvement, lean or six sigma Proven experience supporting projects to improve profitability and reduce cost by optimizing operational capabilities To be a great fit for the role: Very strong analytical skills to design, run and synthesize quantitative and qualitative information to support complex business hypotheses and enable data-driven decisions. Strong financial acumen Transparent and accessible leadership style with strong influencing skills and the capability to earn broad based credibility with internal (and as applicable, external) stakeholders Results driven, develops ambitious goals and establishes clear priorities and responsibilities to achieve them, managing projects activities and resources effectively Strong work ethic and a high sense of urgency with the proven ability to succeed in a fast-paces and dynamic environment Experience working in/leading teams with diverse backgrounds, skill sets and points of view.
