Position Description:
Under administrative direction and with the broadest span of control, will focus on consistent implementation and ongoing practice of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the activities of the CIC. This will include a focus on Ethical Research of Racialized Disparities and will play a crucial role in leading and managing research initiatives focused on understanding and addressing stress and its impact on African American communities. Additionally, this person will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing pipeline programs for underrepresented students in injury science, including developing experiences for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and medical student trainees. Finally, the person in this position will assist the assistant director and director of the CIC to identify and apply for grants that focus on injury prevention with disadvantaged populations, communities, and individuals. This position involves a combination of administrative functions, ethical oversight, coordination community engagement, and data dissemination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, ethics, racial disparities, inclusion, and leadership.

Position Requirements:
Knowledge of technical, business, consultation, project management, and cultural awareness. Extensive experience in research on racial disparities, stress, and health. Demonstrated commitment to ethical research practices.
Customer focus, building trust, communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills.
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree
