What will you do as a PMC Data Entry Clerk:

As a PMC Data Entry Clerk you will serve as an essential part of the patient’s experience by researching and processing account refunds and adjustments for third parties and patients of PMC.

A day in the life of a PMC Data Entry Clerk may include:


• Inputs payments received in the clinic by use of explanation of benefits.

• Processes denials from insurance carriers as necessary.

• Trains in the duties of other employees to assist during work periods, absenteeism, etc. as deemed necessary by Management.

• Insures patient account information accuracy utilizing EOB copy and other information that may be necessary and take appropriate corrective measures.

• Responsible for identification and preparation of appropriate adjustments and other debit/credit requests received or generated.

• Attends various meetings and professional development programs as requested/needed.

• Abides by OSHA guidelines.

• Maintains patient and practice confidentiality.

• Maintains professional demeanor at all times with patients, caregivers, physicians and coworkers.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to two-year experience in a medical office setting.

Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays

Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
