About the Role:

Support government relations efforts in the achievement of the strategic policy and advocacy plan for Pathward. Provide support in the design and execution of effective advocacy strategies for the organization's policy priorities and support policy and advocacy activities at both the Federal and state level.

What You Will Do:

Assist in monitoring the federal and state legislation and regulatory requirements applicable to the financial services industry and Pathward, in particular. Conduct research and analysis of legislative proposals and rules promulgated by the regulatory agencies. Distill complex issues for a variety of audiences. Recommend and contribute to the development of materials in support of Pathward's public policy focus, including white papers, talking points, and reporting updates. Support organizational efforts to communicate and advocate important issues and priorities with legislators and regulators. Lead Pathward's PAC engagement strategy. Assist in planning events and other activities to support organizational policy objectives. Collaborate with internal and external colleagues at the direction of department leadership on assignments and tasks. Engage with legislators, regulators, and industry influencers at in-person and virtual events. Based in Washington, D.C. with travel up to 25%, including but not limited to Pathward's headquarters state of South Dakota. Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience. Typically, 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent experience. Prior experience at a bank, federal banking agency, or related trade association is preferred. Maintaining relationships with the public. Research and analysis. Managing multiple, competing priorities. Working collaboratively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Salary range: $99,501.91 - $183,764.31.

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.
