This position is located in beautiful Kahului, Maui

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a range of general clerical, accounting AR/AP, and administrative support functions for the Maui Operations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General A/R functions

  • Prepare and submit customer invoices
  • Prepare and coordinate deposits
  • Code, post, and receipt payments
  • Perform document imaging of Accounts Receivable documents
  • Prepare weekly AR summary report for AP/AR meeting
  • Record payments received in the accounting system
  • Update billing sheet in Smartsheet
  • Respond to customer and management inquiries
  • Collections
  • Verifies accounts receivable for accuracy and completeness

General A/P functions

  • Check, verify, and process invoices
  • Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data
  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Sort and mail check payments to vendors
  • Perform document imaging of Accounts Payable documents

General support functions

  • Maintain accounting files and financial records
  • Assist in month-end reporting procedures
  • Assist with employee expense reports
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks
  • Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in business or accounting is an advantage
  • 2 years experience in General Accounting
  • 2-3 year experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
