Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic

General Manager

for the

D-BAT Baseball & Softball Training Facility

who will lead our team in delivering exceptional training experiences while ensuring operational excellence, cleanliness, and a vibrant atmosphere. The General Manager will manage a range of key performance indicators (KPIs) across facility operations, community engagement, and team performance. A successful candidate will be passionate about baseball and softball, foster a welcoming environment for players, families, and staff, and embrace D-BAT's core values in a fast-paced, community-centered setting.

Role Scope & Responsibilities

Facility Operations (25%)

Oversee daily operations of the D-BAT Training Facility, maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment.

Lead a team that includes coaches, front-desk personnel, and support staff, fostering a collaborative, service-oriented atmosphere.

Manage scheduling and staffing to meet training session and customer service needs.

Develop and implement maintenance protocols to ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for players and staff.

Maintain a guest-centric approach by consistently exceeding guest expectations and promptly addressing concerns to uphold a positive experience.

Set and monitor KPIs related to facility maintenance, customer satisfaction (NPS and reviews), referral generation, and operational performance.

Drive revenue growth and performance strategy through local community events, partnerships, and online presence.

Leadership & Team Development (50%)

Partner with the Regional Director of Operations to recruit, train, and retain skilled team members.

Coach and mentor employees, conducting regular performance reviews and collaborating with the People and Culture team to address personnel matters.

Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and reduce turnover, fostering a positive, growth-oriented work environment.

Community Marketing & Sales Enablement (25%)

Collaborate with the corporate marketing team on local brand initiatives, client acquisition, and retention strategies.

Engage with the local community, including schools, sports leagues, and youth organizations, to promote D-BAT as a top choice for baseball and softball training.

Participate in local outreach and community events to build a strong D-BAT presence within the area.

D-BAT Culture

Collaborate with leadership to maintain a unified culture and high levels of staff engagement across the center.

Qualifications & Experience

3-5 years

of operations management experience (background in sports, recreation, hospitality, or retail is preferred).

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent experience.

Strong organizational and scheduling abilities to maintain smooth facility operations.

Availability for full-time work during non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, manage facility maintenance, and maintain a visually appealing environment.

Financial acumen with the ability to assess the financial impact of operational decisions.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to engage with guests, staff, and stakeholders.

A passion for creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that embodies D-BAT’s values.

Experience in managing customer relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
