We are seeking a Data Engineer for our Banking industry team located in DENVER, Colorado. The role involves creating, managing, and implementing data models, as well as managing SQL servers and Snowflake. This position also requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and data visualization.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage Snowflake to support data needs and ensure their reliability and efficiency.
• Design and implement data models to meet the specific needs of our banking operations.
• Oversee the implementation and management of SQL servers to ensure the smooth operation of our data systems.
• Leverage Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
• Utilize cloud technologies for the deployment and scaling of data systems.
• Create and implement algorithms to optimize data processing and analytics tasks.
• Develop APIs to ensure smooth data exchange between different software components.
• Utilize AWS technologies for cloud-based data management and operations.
• Leverage Microsoft SQL Server for database management and operations.
• Implement data visualization techniques using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to present data insights.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to implement necessary updates and improvements.• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineering role within the Banking industry.
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud Technologies, including AWS Technologies.
• Proficient in Data Visualization and Algorithm Implementation.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with Analytics and Apache Hadoop.
• Experience in API Development and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Snowflake database technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
