Jeff Abrams with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst / Accountant for his client. The role involves fund accounting for various SMAs, reporting to clients, and generating internal reports. As a Data Analyst / Accountant, you will be working within a dynamic team where you will be responsible for reconciling daily cash, monitoring cash flow activity, and performing month-end book close.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting fund accounting for various SMAs

• Generating reports for clients and for internal use

• Assisting in annual audits when necessary

• Daily cash reconciliation and cash flow activity monitoring for multiple entities

• Performing month-end book close and reconciling investment market values

• Calculating performance for investments and total portfolio

• Preparing performance reports on a regular basis for each investment business line

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with investment representatives to ensure smooth information flow

• Collaborating with the reporting and data analytics team to ensure reports are reconciled with the accounting system

• Normalizing data from data collection tool for direct upload into accounting system

• Assisting in the internal review of quarterly and annual reports

• Undertaking various ad hoc analyses as required.

• Proficiency in Apache Spark as a fundamental tool for data processing

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for planning, tracking, and managing projects

• Experience with BusinessObjects Technologies for business intelligence purposes

• Proficiency in Erwin Data for data modeling and data governance tasks

• Ability to conduct Gap Analysis to identify performance deficiencies

• Experience in AB Testing to compare versions of a webpage or other user experience

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum framework for managing complex projects

• Strong analytics skills to evaluate and interpret complex data

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) for transforming raw data into meaningful information

• Ability to prepare Business Requirement Document to clearly outline project specifications and requirements

CPA license or pursuing certification is a plus.
