Job Description
Seeking Cable Technicians! This project is based around the infrastructure buildout of a massive, state-of-the-art Data Center in Prineville, OR. This role is 6 months Contract to Hire with FULL expectation for conversion to FTE and career growth opportunities. Candidate with a background in ranch hand/construction/labor/apprenticeships/etc. are perfect!
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Installing, removing, relocating, and maintaining inside wiring infrastructure to include all level of wire, cable and fiber.
- Installation of structured cabling systems including all aspects of the installation process: OSP, ISP, Rack, Stack, Patch, Fusion Splicing, Testing
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Maintain satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements
- Pulling cable, pulling innerduct, dressing cables, labeling, fiber cleaning, etc. to industry and customer standards.
- Carry and load materials to be used on the job.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Must be willing to work both outside and inside during the summer and winter months.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
- Safety training as required by position.
- Wash and clean vehicles and equipment.
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed.
- Remedial online safety training.
