Our client, SAFY, is seeking a Program Director for the Northern Indiana Division. For 40 years, their work has rested on a single, radical idea – children belong in families. SAFY is a team of 500 employees across seven states providing services such as Family Preservation & Reunification, Behavioral Health, Therapeutic Foster Care, Adoption Services, and Older Youth Services so the families and children served can build resilience and thrive.
As the Program Director, you will be responsible for leading the clinical and operational efforts for the division, ensuring high-quality care for youth in placement. You will provide clinical supervision to staff, manage crisis interventions, and oversee compliance and fiscal performance.

Lead crisis intervention and provide clinical oversight to foster care programs. Collaborate with intake teams to ensure smooth transitions into care. Supervise and develop a high-performing clinical team, ensuring goals are met. Oversee compliance with internal and external regulations, conducting regular audits. Visit all homes according to SAFY policy and all referral sources annually. In partnership with the executive team, manage the division’s budget and financial operations. Address clinical and operational challenges to ensure optimal service delivery. Supervise treatment plan development and reviews. Participate in rule violation investigations and certification processes. Fill in for various positions during absence of vacancy; this may include providing direct services to foster parents and clinical support to foster youth in the absence of a Case Coordinator and/or Therapist. Uphold a supportive working relationship with youth, foster parents, referring agencies, and other SAFY stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Human Services field 3-5 years of experience in social services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role and two years providing direct care services Demonstrated expertise in clinical supervision and crisis intervention Proven experience in managing budgets and achieving operational goals Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team LCSW, LMHC, LPCC preferred. We will also consider candidates who are working towards their independent licensure.
