Responsibilities & Qualifications:
The primary focus of the Director of Operations position is to provide support in each plant in a Region, drive safety compliance and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a region
Coach/Development of new Plant Managers
Drive daily process improvement in assigned territory.
Manage productivity reporting & performance for the assigned territory.
Work closely with Senior Management in developing long-term operational strategies that meet the company’s objectives.
Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
Foster a safe work environment
Support and training of plants on internal plant productivity systems
Collaborate with cross functional departments on projects and new initiatives
Responsible for training and certification of all compliance areas
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations
Bachelor’s degree
Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Proven track record in managing multiple locations
Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
Travel requirement (75%)
Must thrive in a progressive environment
Strong organizational and presentation skills
Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Power Point, and general PC applications
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up, creativity, problem solving, conflict management, written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to drive performance without formal authority
