This Position:
We’re seeking a Manager, Data Migrationr to lead and streamline our customer data migration pipeline. This role will manage the end-to-end migration process from legacy systems to our new cloud-based SaaS ERP, overseeing the successful, timely migration of 40+ clients per week. You’ll work closely with both technical staff and onboarding specialists to optimize the migration process, monitor metrics, and resolve issues. This position will also support post-migration data quality, collaborating with Customer Success and providing guidance to a small technical team.
The Expectation:
- Manage the Migration Process (30%): Oversee the full migration pipeline to ensure high-quality, timely data migrations, utilizing Jira for tracking and ticket management. Maintain a production line style approach, standardizing and refining each stage of the process.
- Technical Collaboration and Troubleshooting (20%): Collaborate with Onboarding Support and other departments to address and troubleshoot post-migration data issues for clients with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Process Improvement and Optimization (20%): Regularly analyze and improve the migration workflow, increasing automation success rates and reducing manual interventions.
- Metrics Tracking and Reporting (10%): Monitor and report on key production metrics, ensuring visibility of migration status, success rates, exception cases, and processing speed.
- Team Management and Coaching (20%): Manage a team of 2–4 technical professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to support professional growth and high-quality outcomes.
The successful Manager, Data Migration will have:
- 5+ years in data migration, technical support, or operations management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data models, database technologies, and ETL processes. Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems is required.
- Process Management: Proven ability to run a production-style operation, optimize workflows, and standardize processes.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with teams across technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Analytical Skills: Experience with data tracking, reporting, and metrics analysis.
Success Metrics:
- Timely Project Delivery: Successful completion of data migration projects within the defined timelines, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Team Performance & Development: Demonstrating effective leadership by achieving high team performance, fostering a collaborative environment, and successfully mentoring and developing the team members.
- Data Accuracy & Compliance: Maintaining data integrity throughout the migration process, ensuring zero data loss, and adherence to security and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Work Location and Arrangement:
gWorks is a hybrid work environment, and preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Omaha, Nebraska area. However, highly qualified candidates who reside outside of the local area and are able to work remotely will also be considered.
- For Omaha-Based Candidates: A hybrid work model, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
