Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly effective candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.

This individual will lead the technical engagement and operations for our SSD and HDD storage devices in order to meet our customers' rapidly growing infrastructure needs. Successful candidates will bring strong knowledge of the Storage industry and related semiconductor supply chains, a strong engineering background of Storage devices, a proven ability to lead a team that program manages technology operations, and effectively operate at any level of the organization (up to senior executives).

Key job responsibilities:

Lead a team that delivers a highly complex Storage device qualification program.

Develop and implement cross functional technical engagement strategies for our Storage components that support the supply chain for AWS hardware infrastructure.

Understand the industry and technology trends, and uses this knowledge to innovate on behalf of our customers.

Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives in those products.

Develop negotiations strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable technical engagements with suppliers.

Responsible to provide weekly core-team updates, deliver executive level updates on a monthly basis, and will be responsible for vendor escalations in order to resolve any technical issues related to Storage.

Present to senior leadership via written narratives.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
