Eastridge Workforce Solutions, a leading provider of workforce management solutions, is dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful career opportunities. We are hiring sit-down and stand-up forklift operators for a production company in Vernon, CA.
Shifts:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Summary:
Warehouse Forklift Operators ensure that cases and kegs of kombucha are properly stored in the fermentation room and refrigerated trailers in alignment with quality standards and product specifications. Operators are responsible for transporting pallets of raw materials and finished products throughout the warehouse facility using sit-down forklifts. This includes consolidating receiving, transfers, and outbound shipments, as well as re-palletizing and building orders as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Inspect forklifts for damage and complete a daily checklist to confirm proper functionality.
- Review daily order schedules to identify inbound, outbound, and transfer shipments.
- Operate sit-down forklifts to transport raw materials and finished products to designated areas such as fermentation rooms, staging areas, or refrigerated trailers.
- Use RF scanners to complete systematic transactions, track inventory, and monitor pallet locations.
- Escalate inconsistencies between physical and systematic quantities to management for resolution.
- Re-palletize finished products to meet customer requirements and secure them with shrink wrap.
- Load refrigerated trailers according to load maps for proper weight distribution and adjust trailer temperatures as needed.
- Transport pallets to designated piles based on pallet type.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including GMPs, Lockout/Tagout, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Occasionally perform Warehouse Associate duties as needed.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 1 year experience
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Effective communication with team members and supervisors.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Attention to detail and ability to reference documents accurately.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of safety standards, GMPs, and PPE requirements.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
