Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive delivery vehicles to transport materials, verifying deliveries with packing slips, and obtaining signed receipts for delivered goods.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to meet customers’ expectations for timely deliveries.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on delivery vehicles, including checking oil, tire pressure, brakes, and lights, and ensuring the vehicle remains clean and in good condition. Report any issues to the supervisor.
• Securely load products for delivery to prevent damages or lost items based on the delivery route.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, promoting additional sales opportunities as they arise.
• Communicate customer feedback to management, including complaints, requests, returns, and competitive insights.
• Collect materials from designated locations, verifying receipt and quantity.
• Receive and accurately process incoming shipments, ensuring materials match packing slips and reporting discrepancies.
• Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep the branch clean and organized, including the warehouse, office spaces, and bathrooms by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and knowledge of local delivery routes.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong product knowledge, including the ability to identify items by size, type, style, or code.
• Familiarity with safe loading and transporting procedures.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships.

Physical Requirements:

• This is a physically active role that requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the day.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work full-time or overtime as needed.
