Job Description
The Warehouse Manager ensures the flow of finished goods from receiving, to production, to the shipment to the end customer. The Warehouse Manager leads all functions related to the movement and accuracy of finished goods inventory.
Essential Job Functions
• Responsible for supervision of warehouse staff in daily activities.
• Liaise with the service department, sales, and production managers to ensure a timely turnaround of finished parts needed for respective jobs.
• Responsible for keeping the parts warehouse clean and organized. Follow all corporate safety guidelines and policies related to warehouse storage.
• Establish inventory controls to ensure accuracy of finished goods material flow to production.
• Establish policies and procedures to maximize inventory security and minimize loss.
• Establish production supply chain procedures and practices to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement.
• Arrange for disposal of trash, metal recycling, and surplus materials.
• Ensure that receivers are checking all daily incoming shipments for all vendors by comparing actual count to packing slip.
• Ensure that all warehouse employees are adhering to company procedures for shortages or damaged parts. The warehouse manager will be responsible for updating or creating these procedures.
• Ensure that shippers are checking all daily shipments to all customers by comparing actual count to packing slip.
• Responsible for filing freight claims for any shortages or damaged parts within 24 hours.
• Responsible for all finished part kitting activities in the warehouse. Ensuring that kits are provided in a timely manner, so production is not restricted or delayed.
• Responsible for ensuring that aftermarket parts orders are being fulfilled in a timely manner and expedite shipments are handled per the customer’s request.
• Initiate and follow through on plans, programs and objectives to meet overall company goals.
• Lead regular departmental meetings to initiate an open line of communication within the department.
• Directly address and manager Performance Improvement Plans relating to the warehouse department.
• Support activities between Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality Control/Quality Assurance as appropriate.
• Must establish goals for each person within the department, delegate, and train others as necessary allowing adequate time to effectively manage the warehouse department.

Education and/or Experience
• Associate’s Degree preferred, or High School education with equivalent experience.
• Seven years’ related experience in the manufacturing industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.

• Familiarity with ERP business systems software required for the specific area of responsibility.
• Ability to use a keyboard and 10-key by touch.
