Job Description
Syndeo Staffing has direct hire opportunity for a Warehouse Manager for a processing company who will be responsible for warehousing and inventory control of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies. This individual will also ensure the maximum utilization of warehouse facilities, coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing and traffic departments to ensure proper receiving, transfer and dispatch of raw materials, finished goods and supplies. There will occasionally be additional hours based on delivery schedules. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and MVR screening and obtain a valid driver's license.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: Salary, based on experience
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and observes proper loading, unloading, stocking, and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of goods to prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents, and occupational hazards.
- Make certain that sanitation standards are being maintained throughout the warehouse.
- Develop and manages quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of LEAN principles, 5S, and other efficiency methodologies.
- Familiarity with distribution center operations a plus.
- Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow and product handling systems.
- In-depth understanding of inventory control principles and materials management.
- Efficiently monitor the flow of goods and implements First-In First-Out (FIFO) method in the use of raw materials and in dispatching of finished goods.
- Expertise in warehouse workflow, packaging, and kitting operations.
- Coordinates with Purchasing Department and Production Facility with regards to incoming deliveries and transfer of finished goods.
- Promotes use of internal ERP system.
- Ensure accuracy of product inventory against system records by conducting cycle counts on a periodic basis.
- Evaluates and analyzes inventory variance. Implements preventive countermeasures based on the result of inventory variance analysis.
- Data Entry characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.
- Communicate daily with the Management/Operations team about customer inventory for tracking clients, ingredients, packaging, and finished product.
- Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze and identify problems and implement solutions.
- Understanding and fulfillment of ecommerce orders.
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Manufacturing.
- 3 years in Warehouse Management; 5-Years relevant experience.
- Must be results-oriented and can work with a high degree of independence
- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets and scheduling expenditures.
- Tracks and provides management reporting on key metrics
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Receive/Inspect/Palletize/Load/Unload/Sort merchandise
- Supervises warehouse staff and manages product rework to meet customer demands
- Ability to work well with others and communicate issues in a timely manner
- Expert attention to detail, organization, and multitasking
- Must always wear personal protective equipment when on production floor
- Participates actively in facility safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
- Ability to work a schedule of (5) full 8-hour workdays per week, with the flexibility to occasionally work overtime, nights and weekends as needed
- Timely and regular attendance.
