Overview:
This position will assist with resident and family communication and will assist with the supervision and direction of associates assisting residents in independent and assisted living communities. Assists residents, and/or tenants, with their physical and/or psycho-social needs. Ensure that resident and family needs are met through one-to-one visits, scheduled resident/family meetings or care conferences, and providing resources and connections to community services and education. Assists Executive Director/Housing Director in lease signings, lease violations, tenant issues, basic tours of the community, and ongoing follow-up.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the implementation of the community goals in alignment with the Benedictine Strategic Plan. Promotes and models the integration of Mission and Values in operational management, communications, and public relations. Ensure ongoing integration of Quality Standards.
Ensures that care and service resources in assigned areas of responsibility are in place and are appropriate within defined Benedictine standards and policies. Coordinates move-in, and move-out for residents to ensure smooth transitions, which may include being a backup to the sales process or lease signings.
Assist the finance department in resident issues related to MA pending applications, and financial collection issues.
Assists in the selection and formation of associates, under the direction of the Executive Director/Housing Director, while following human resources standards and all applicable state and federal laws. This may include assisting others with hiring, associate retention efforts, scheduling, and manager-on-duty roles.
Establishes and maintains open and effective communication with tenants and families. Recognizes and resolves issues utilizing the team process. Plans communicates, and delivers service programs to achieve a high degree of satisfaction.
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations which govern the operations of the community and the delivery of services. Implements and maintains policies and procedures to promote compliance with all current regulations and standards.
Responsible to assist in the management of a survey, conducting investigations, and filing all vulnerable adult reports as required with regulators.
Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Five (5) years of experience in a related field, working with residents and families with physical, social, or emotional needs in a housing or long-term care setting.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human services-oriented field such as social work, psychology, gerontology, health care administration, or other related fields.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
State-specific licensures, such as a MN Assisted Living Director (LALD), Assisted Living Director in Residence (ALDIR,) or ability to obtain within a specified period of time.
Salary Range:
$28.00- 30.00
