We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities at our Raleigh warehouse facility. DSA Doors is the leading premium wood door manufacturer, based near the RDU airport. You will oversee the staff members’ productivity, quality and safety standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. This position will also handle logistics and freight. Ultimately, you are tasked to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall customer service level.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Receiving, booking and scheduling transportation orders to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information.
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
  • Interface with co-workers to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
  • Maintain warehouse vehicles.
  • Conduct safety trainings.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.

Requirements:

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor.
  • Logistics experience.
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading warehouse management.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds during work hours.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Pass background check and drug screen.
