Job Description
As a Warehouse Coordinator at our fast-growing company, you'll play a key role in shaping and managing our warehouse operations from the ground up. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is excited about building efficient systems and processes from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- a. Set up and maintain inventory tracking systems tailored to the needs of a growing business. Preferred experience with Shopify.
- b. Perform regular stock checks and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- c. Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely reordering of supplies and products.
2. Shipping and Fulfillment
- a. Oversee the fulfillment process to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries to customers.
- b. Establish relationships with shipping carriers and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
- c. Optimize packaging and shipping workflows for scalability and cost efficiency.
3. Warehouse Setup and Organization
- a. Assist in designing and implementing the warehouse layout.
- b. Establish and enforce processes for receiving, storing, and dispatching products.
- c. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace to support operational growth.
4. Process Optimization and Growth
a. Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and propose innovative solutions.
b. Implement technology or tools (like inventory software) to streamline operations.
c. Collaborate with leadership to plan for future scaling needs.
5. Team Collaboration
a. Work closely with procurement, customer service, and operations teams to meet company objectives.
b. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflows and quick problem-solving.
6. Safety and Compliance
a. Develop and enforce safety procedures to protect staff and products.
b. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
