TRAINER- WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full Time Salary Exempt
JOB OVERVIEW:
MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Trainer - Warehouse Operations is responsible for onboarding and training new hires at both newly opened and existing warehouse locations. This role focuses on ensuring employees are well-prepared for their roles. The Trainer role requires frequent travel. When not traveling, the trainer will work across a designated district, focusing on employee development, process improvement, maintaining up-to-date training materials, and performing inspections to ensure sites are following operational processes. This position reports to the GM of Shared Services.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· New Hire Training:
o Conduct comprehensive training for all new hires in newly opened and existing warehouses.
o Ensure new employees fully understand their specific job responsibilities, safety protocols, and performance expectations.
o Provide hands-on training for roles including scanners, facilities, removal, inventory, inspection, put away, receiving, transfers, and all leads.
· Travel to New Warehouses:
o Travel to new warehouse locations as part of the launch team to onboard and train new hires during opening phases.
o Deliver training onsite as needed to support the entire onboarding process.
· Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for improving existing training methods and operational processes.
o Partner with warehouse management teams to adjust training approaches to suit local operations.
· Ongoing District Support:
o Provide continuous training and support to existing employees across warehouses in a district.
o Regularly visit locations to evaluate training effectiveness and retrain employees where necessary.
o Conduct Process Compliance Audit, identifying all areas of improvement and supporting additional training in area of need.
· Training Material Development:
o Update and maintain training programs and materials, including visual aids, handbooks, job aids, and digital tools.
o Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content remains relevant and up to date with operational best practices.
· Compliance and Safety Training:
o Ensure that all training programs comply with company standards and local, state, and federal regulations.
o Emphasize safety protocols and guidelines during all training sessions, working to instill a culture of safety and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education:
o Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in training, education, or warehouse operations.
· Experience:
o 3+ years of experience in a training role preferred, ideally within warehouse operations or a logistics environment.
o Experience with multiple warehouse job functions, including inventory, scanning, and shipping/receiving operations.
· Skills & Competencies:
o Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Proficiency in developing training materials and conducting hands-on and classroom-style training sessions.
o Ability to adapt training programs to suit a variety of learning styles.
o Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and other training software is a plus.
· Other Requirements:
o Willingness to travel regularly, sometimes for extended periods.
o Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
o Flexibility in work hours based on training needs and travel schedules.
· Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods during hands-on training sessions.
