Kalman & Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager in Chesapeake, VA. Specific Duties:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all operations within the facility; allocating resources to meet Readiness Improvement Program (RIP) schedules; providing technical knowledge where applicable; ensuring the accurate inventory of all assets processed daily, by use of established warehouse (WMS) and quality (QMS) management systems; transferring of assets to external locations; ensuring all tasks completed are in compliance to all safety, conduct and procedures, as defined.
- Ensuring the health and safety of all team personnel by implementation and evolution of the Environmental, Health and Safety Program
- Overseeing and manage all warehousing operations, processes and coordinate operational planning and development.
- Ensuring all planned performance measures are met or exceeded.
- Providing matrix-based reports in support of production goal tracking and data analysis
- Managing all resources to meet both the production, FT&S and onload schedule to adjust and report personnel shortages.
- Ensuring compliance to all applicable technical, procedural and quality direction
- Supervising and motivate a team of workers.
- Reviewing and report the performance of team members.
- Tracking competencies of team members and provide leadership and development as required to achieve planned results.
- Interacting with diverse groups to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.
- Ensuring all equipment, masks or other job-related equipment discrepancies are recorded, corrected and reported to appropriate levels of Management.
- Ensuring all equipment is physically and digitally available in storage bins or other related locations, to prevent work stoppages.
- Ensuring all products or job-related equipment discrepancies are corrected, recorded and reported to appropriate levels of Management.
- Ensuring that all products are prepared for shipment/staging and long-term storage utilizing warehousing and other job-related equipment and materials.
- Data Entry/Reporting
- Providing matrix-driven reports in support of the Chesapeake HUB requirements
- Maintaining accuracy and quality of the inventory by utilizing the WMS to appropriately input and manage various types of data surrounding customer interactions, inventory and support.
- Operating forklifts, mid-riders, pallet jacks and / or other similar MHE devices to transport equipment and job-related materials to designated locations within the facility, or as otherwise directed.
Required Education/Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Possess an Active Secret Security Clearance and maintain that clearance with 6-month re-verification.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old. - High School diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to work standing for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Education/Qualifications:
- Experience with appropriate Navy CBR equipment is preferred.
