We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual who wants to join our team as a Warehouse Lead. In this exciting role, you will ensure efficiency in the distribution center with daily oversight of distribution center operations including inventory, shipping and receiving. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
What You’ll Do…
- Partners with Third Party Logistics Provider on bill of lading and delivery pickups.
- Provides professional and technical expertise in the areas of warehouse management, inventory control and shipping and receiving to meet company and customer’s timeline.
- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of supplies to technicians and customers as directed by the General Manager or Territory Service Manager.
- Manage periodic cycle counts as well as semiannual and annual physical inventories for the location to ensure records are maintained, ensure integrity is kept and maximum customer service is achieved.
- Establish an environment conducive to high levels of engagement, morale, employee satisfaction, and performance according to NCS Values and Vision.
- Act as primary point of resolution for escalating customer issues and/or complaints, as well as internal/local concerns and complaints. Resolves or escalates matters as necessary.
- Preparation of daily and weekly shipping schedules for assigned customers or RDC’s.
- Communicate regularly with sales team and Customer Service to adjust schedules to accommodate changes in orders.
- Works under limited supervision and has significant responsibility for efficiency of operations.
- May provide training and direction to less experienced staff.
- Comply with all applicable DOT, OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
- Prepare individual and/or annual International Shipping documents such as CUSMA/USMA/T-MEC/AUSFTA etc….
- Ensure all team members comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time.
What You Need…
- 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution center experience required
- Must be willing to travel on an irregular basis, as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Success in working with 3rd party vendors to coordinate order and delivery of needed components
- Strong time management skills, along with multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem-solving capabilities
- For qualification to drive a company vehicle:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations within the past 5 years; no preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years
- No impaired driving convictions, pending charges, or test refusals within the past 5 years
Physical Requirements
- Must stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
- Required to stand for prolonged periods
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs. is required, with the ability to occasionally lift up to 75lbs., preferred
- May perform duties requiring employee to intermittently bend and twist
