[Warehouse Technician]

Position Description: The functions of a Warehouse Technician are that of completing and coordinating the day-to-day operational functions of packing, shipping, receiving and distribution of goods and supplies.

Essential responsibilities:

• Performs and combination of the following tasks: receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within facilities. Read production schedule, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Maintain cleanliness and order of all inventory items.

• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, pallet jack, or any other Powered Industrial Truck.

• Assemble orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packaging or shipping department.

• Marks materials with identifying information as per company standard.

• Track and document the amounts of material or items received or distributed.

• May weigh or count items for distribution within facility to ensure conformance to company standards.

• May use computer to enter records.

• May complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments and locations.

• May maintain inventory records.

• Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Must have experience with hand truck, forklift and/or lifts for material handling.

• Support team work to attain department objectives.

• Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies/skill Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good written and verbal skills are necessary.

• Ability to operate and demonstrate proficiency with the use of various Powered Industrial Trucks according to company standard.

• Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language.

• Must be able to proficiently navigate and utilize computer systems as well as related office and MRP software required by the company. (Excel, Word, Fishbowl, Outlook, Access, Windows OS, Etc.)

• Ability to provide authorization to work in the United States, as well as have viable and reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Use provided formulas to derive values from raw data.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk to hear.

• The employee must exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
