What You’ll Get to Do Do you have a background in manufacturing and are looking for a new challenge? Are you excited about the idea of supporting unmanned watercraft development for the US Navy? CACI seeks a manufacturing project manager to join our growing team designing and building prototype unmanned watercraft for the US Navy. The project manager is responsible for coordinating a team of employees, subcontractors, and Government stakeholders in developing, fabricating, and integrating unmanned watercraft of varying shapes, sizes, and mission applications. The project manager needs to understand each prototype project’s requirements, identify risk areas, establish achievable schedules, estimate and track costs, and determine the appropriate use of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of the final platform. The position requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual willing to travel and possessing a desire to solve customer problems and find creative ways to overcome project challenges. More About the Role Lead the system integration for various prototype development projects by coordinating amongst Government, CACI, and subcontractor/vendor stakeholders Maintain project budgets and schedules Research commercial availability of technologies, components, and vendor capabilities needed for each project Work with subcontracting and procurement organizations to establish subcontract agreements and purchase orders Provide oversight of subcontractors/vendor to ensure requirements will be met within quality, schedule, and budget parameters (may require frequent travel) You’ll Bring These Qualifications BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience 5-7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry Experience working in a manufacturing environment, such as a design/fabrication facility, production facility, or machine shop Experience managing manufacturing/integration projects Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have 10 or more years of experience in the manufacturing industry Experience balancing personnel machining resources against machine shop equipment availability across multiple projects Experience building boats or other maritime craft -
