Job Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. This role involves leading and motivating a team of warehouse associates to achieve productivity goals while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates, including receiving, storing, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and minimizing discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates to improve their skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory, orders, and shipments.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Analyze and report on warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and shipping procedures.
- Proficient in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.[1]
- Forklift certification is a plus.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Basic math, advanced english language, and reading skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
