Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Company Overview:
Join our client's dynamic team in Hobart, one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of OEM and Aftermarket Replacement Parts, which stocks and distributes products through wholesale dealers and equipment manufacturers throughout the Americas.
Position Overview:
As the Warehouse Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for supervising a team of warehouse associates, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for the heavy machinery industry.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of heavy machinery and related parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate outbound shipments, including loading and unloading trucks and ensuring proper documentation.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and service, to fulfill customer orders and resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a heavy machinery or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
